Celebrating Health and Wellness: A Recap of Our Event with Dubai Health Authority
On November 24th and 25th, we had the pleasure of curating a dynamic and inspiring event for the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) at the iconic Mohammed bin Rashid Library. The event successfully educated, motivated, and inspired visitors to pursue a more active, fit, and healthy lifestyle. The event, which was broadcast on multiple radio stations around Dubai, was meticulously designed with various assessments and zones, each offering unique opportunities for attendees to assess their current health and fitness, identify potential health issues, and set achievable goals for their overall well-being.
The Dubai Health Authority's goal was to provide the residents of Dubai with the opportunity to take part in an event with their main focus being on sustainable health. Free entry and activities were essential components of this initiative. This inclusivity ensured that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, could benefit from the event's offerings, aligning perfectly with their mission to prioritize the well-being of every participant.
Event Highlights
The first day of the event kicked off at 2:00 PM and ran until 7:00 PM. The turnout was impressive, with visitors eager to take advantage of the free medical checks, fitness assessments, and a range of engaging activities. Day two started bright and early at 9:00 AM and continued until 7:00 PM. The extended hours allowed even more participants to join in and experience the full spectrum of offerings. The energy was palpable as families, fitness enthusiasts, and health-conscious individuals flocked to the event.
Assessments
Medical Checks and Weigh-in Zone
The event featured a comprehensive health assessment zone where visitors could receive free medical checks and detailed body composition analyses. Qualified healthcare professionals conducted screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose levels, while the advanced InBody machine provided insights into body fat percentage, muscle mass, and overall body weight. This zone was particularly popular, as it offered attendees a snapshot of their current health status and the opportunity to discuss any concerns. The holistic approach allowed participants to gain invaluable insights and set realistic, personalized fitness goals.
Fitness Assessments
In the fitness assessment zone, participants engaged in a series of exercises, each with a one-minute time period. They were challenged to complete as many push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and burpees as possible within the given time. This high-energy assessment provided a quick yet effective way for individuals to gauge their fitness levels and identify areas for improvement.
Run Time Trial
The run time trial, featuring a 1-mile run tracked using state-of-the-art MYLAPS technology to provide participants with 400m splits, was a hit among competitive spirits and casual runners alike. Participants had the opportunity to measure their running speed and endurance, adding a fun and challenging element to the event.

Move Zone
The move zone, set with a stage, lighting, and the incredible backdrop of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, was a lively space filled with various fitness classes and activities. From yoga sessions to high-energy aerobics, this grass area was buzzing with movement and excitement, encouraging everyone to get active. The move zone included various types of different yogas, along with other activities like sound journey, inversion play, and deep stretch, providing participants with ample opportunities to engage in physical activity and holistic wellness practices.
Learn Zone (Amphitheatre)
The learn zone, set in a tranquil amphitheatre with comfortable seating on bean bags, provided attendees with a serene environment to gain valuable insights into various aspects of health and wellness. Experts shared their knowledge on nutrition, mental health, fitness strategies, and more, offering attendees a wealth of information to support their health journeys. From talks on Mindset Reprogramming to workshops on Ancient Wisdom and Personal Development, participants were educated, motivated, and inspired by a diverse range of topics. Additional sessions on Myofascia Movement, The Fascial Breath, and tips to Sleep Better further enriched the learning experience, empowering attendees to make informed decisions for their overall well-being.
Celebrating the Dubai Fitness Challenge
Celebrating the Dubai Fitness Challenge, this event marked the culmination of the final weekend of the city-wide initiative. The synergy between our event and the larger Dubai Fitness Challenge amplified the impact, fostering a city-wide embrace of fitness and health. The Dubai Health Authority’s Sustainable Health Event delivered by Core Direction was a resounding success, bringing together diverse community members in a shared pursuit of health and wellness. It provided valuable resources, support, and motivation, reflecting our commitment to inspire and engage the community in their health and fitness journeys. We are proud of the positive impact and eagerly anticipate future opportunities to continue this journey of empowerment and well-being.
